Ken Lai

Ken Lai is an Alumnus of the BMI musical theatre workshop, a New York institution that has spawned multiple Tony & Academy award winning composers. During his tenure, Ken’s work was often selected for showcase with other upcoming workshop talents including Jeff Marx & Bobby Lopez (“Avenue Q”) and Tom Kitt ("Next to Normal").
In Australia his works have been featured in the “Celebration” concerts of 2005 and 2006 (Sydney Town Hall) which were televised nationally on the 7 Network, and most recently performed by the leading lady of Australian musical theatre, Marina Prior.
Apart from theatrical work, Ken has also been active in composing for film and TV, with scores for numerous projects including short films and documentaries.
